Dr B Newgrosh
MB BS (London,1975)
HOLIDAY ARRANGEMENTS: When Dr Newgrosh is away on holiday his patients may obtain urgent treatment from the nearest GP in the Bolton Medical Holiday and Sickness Scheme. His reception staff are on duty during Surgery hours to accept requests for home visits, to handle telephone enquiries and to direct patients to the Scheme GPs. A notice giving the names, numbers and addresses of the Scheme GPs is permanently displayed on our notice board. For emergencies outside Surgery hours NHS 111 will handle all calls.
The Practice employs four part-time receptionists: Fatima Ali, Dawn Cox, Debra Benyon and Anne Cummings. They are here to assist you in getting treatment, appointments, prescriptions, certificates, home visits, advice, etc, in directing you to ancillary staff and social services, and can help you arrange ambulance and other transport where required. All information passed through the receptionists is treated in the strictest confidence. They offer no medical advice except where it is stated Practice policy (e.g., “if you need antibiotics you need to see the doctor”) and they cannot give out results of tests. They also act as chaperones to the GP when he conducts all breast examinations, cervical smear tests and female internal examinations.
Please remember to inform the receptionist of any change in your name, address or telephone number.
If you have suggestions for improving the service offered, or complaints of any sort, the receptionist will be happy to pass on your message.
Donna Hamer is our Practice Manager, responsible for the day to day running of the Practice. She welcomes feedback on the services offered by the Practice and/or suggestions for improvements. If you have any concerns or complaints she will be happy to make an appointment to see you, your relatives and/or carers.
Practice Nurse Jacinta Yates works Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Patients see her by appointment only. If you make an appointment through the receptionist she will always want to know what the appointment is for — so as to make the correct length reservation.
Patients can see the Practice Nurse for influenza and travel vaccinations, blood pressure checks, urine and blood tests, asthma and COPD checkups, diabetes check-ups, ‘well woman’ checks, the Big Bolton Health Check, cervical smear testing, ear syringing, and checks for repeat prescriptions of the ‘Pill’.
Please note: Online services are available to patients ages 16 years or over. If you would like to use these services please call in at the surgery bringing proof of ID along with your email address. You’ll then be issued with your own user name and password enabling you to login securely.
